11 confirmed dead in multiple suicide bomb attacks in Maiduguri

No fewer than 11 persons have been killed in multiple suicide explosions that rocked Maiduguri, the Borno state capital late last night. Two suicide bombers detonated the bombs strapped on them at Molai Kalamari area in Maiduguri at exactly 10pm killing eight persons including themselves.

Another suicide bomber struck at Sabongari Polo area of the state capital, killing three persons.

“I cannot specifically tell you whether the suicide bombers were male or female. But we have deployed emergency response team to the scene,” a police source said.

The injured victims are currently at the state specialist hospital where they are receiving medical attention.
