Nigeria Vs Cameroon


Nigeria's Super Eagles will battle African Champion, The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in a double-header (two) matches in the on-going 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier, the first match is coming up on Friday, 1st September in the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state and the second leg on 4th September, 2017 in Cameroon.


Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has called on all the foreign based players including John Mikel-Obi, Odion Ighalo, Aaron Samuel, Victor Moses and others to arrive the Eagles camp in Uyo latest Monday, August 28th. The team will be having a week long training at the Godswill Akpabio stadium before the first leg of the match on Friday, 1st September.

In another development, Arsenal Forward, Alex Iwobi who was supposed to be part of the team for the two clashes backed out due to the injury he sustained before the Liverpool Vs Arsenal match on Sunday, August 27th which ended 4 goals to nil.

Rohr has stated that the team must get at least three (3) points in the first leg of the match. Super Eagles are topping Group B with six (6) points while Cameroon who is behind them has two (2) points.
Zambia and Algeria who are also in the group B both have one (1) point each.
