Police Service Commission invites Senator Isah Misau for investigation

Police Service Commission (PSC), has invited Senator Isah Misau, Chairman Senate Committee on Navy, to appear before its Special Panel.
The senator, representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, was asked to appear before the panel on Sept 6.

Ikechukwu Ani, Head, Public Relations of the commission disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

“The Police Service Commission, the only organ saddled with the statutory responsibility of issuing letters of retirement to all Police Officers except the IGP, has a vital role to play in determining the authenticity of this letter,” he said.

Ani added that Misau will need to present the original copy of his letter of retirement for authentication.

The panel will also question the lawmaker on his allegations that special promotions in the Police were being monetized.

Recall that the Senator accused IGP Ibrahim Idris of receiving money from CP's for juicy posting. He aslo alleged that the IGP received 10 billion naira bribe.
