Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has sworn-in Justice Opeyemi Oke as the Acting Chief Judge of the State.
Ambode said the appointment of Justice Oke, as the acting Chief Judge of the State, was in line with judicial precedence and the long-aged tradition of succession, by seniority on the bench.
Justice Oke, who was appointed to the bench of the State High Court about twenty years ago, takes over from Justice Olufunmilayo Atilade who retired recently, having attained the mandatory retirement age of 65.
Justice Oke is married to Mr. Akinyele Oke, Managing Director and Chief Executive of Floret Nigeria Ltd. They got married on June 9, 1979 and are blessed with three children.
