High Court proscribes IPOB, declares it terrorist group
A Federal High Court in Abuja, has declared the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) “acts of terrorism”, Daily Post reports.
This followed an application filed by the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
Malami had asked the court to proscribe the group.
Earlier on Wednesday, Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the legal process for the proscription of the group.
