Islamic New Year: Osun, Kano declares Thursday, Friday public holiday

Kano and Osun state governments have declared public holiday in their respective states to mark the beginning of the new Islamic year (Hijra AH 1439).

While Kano declared Friday, Sept. 22, as public holiday, Osun declared Thursday.
