Lagos state Chief Imam, Ibrahim Akinola is dead
The Chief Imam of Lagos, Garuba Ibrahim Akinola is dead.
Akinola died Sunday evening at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital at the age of 79 after suffering from an undisclosed ailment.
Th late cleric will be buried on Monday according to Islamic rites.
Meanwhile, Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has expressed sadness over his death.
The Governor in a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Habib Aruna, described the development as a great loss to the Muslim Community, the State and the country in general.
May his soul RIP.
