Benue killings: President Buhari meets Governor Ortom in Abuja (Photos)

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state over the recent Fulani herdsmen killings in the state.


President Buhari assured the governor of his total commitment to the security of lives and property in Benue state.




Via his verified Twitter handle, President Buhari shared the photo above and wrote; "I just met with the Governor of Benue State. I assured Governor Ortom of our total commitment to the security of lives & property in Benue and elsewhere. We have deployed additional security resources to fish out the attackers, bring them to justice, and prevent further attacks."

Meanwhile, because of this meeting, President Buhari canceled his scheduled trip to Abia state for the APC mega rally.
