Okonjo-Iweala assumes office as WTO Director General (Photos)

 

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has today, 1st March, 2021, assumed office as the new Director General of the World Trade Organization, WTO.

Okonjo-Iweala is the first African and woman to hold the position. 

In the photos, she is seen in her signature pattern of dressing as she was made welcome to the headquarters of the WTO in Geneva, Switzerland.

Recall that Dr. Okonjo-Iweala was appointed as the WTO DG on the 15th of February, 2021.
